Perrotis School of Sciences
The Perrotis School of Sciences focuses on the study of the physical and chemical processes that govern food and biological systems. The curriculum combines foundational sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics) with specialized courses such as Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Microbiology, Food Chemistry, Food Analysis, Food Technology, and Food Safety and Quality Control. The School emphasizes innovation, sustainable food production, nutritional value, and product safety, as well as understanding of biochemical mechanisms related to health and disease. At the same time, it fosters research activities in areas such as new product development, biotechnology, functional foods, and biomolecular analysis.
